Wye Valley Riding Club Competitions and Events
WVRC normally holds competitions in the summer months at Howick Farm, Itton for members and non members. These are friendly and encouraging and there will be people to help you if needed.
Challenge cups are presented to the members accumulating the most points on one horse throughout the summer dressage series or the summer show jumping series.
If you are able to help at any of these competitions then please contact [email protected] and this will be passed on to the organiser.
Competitions & Events 2024
Sunday 13th October
Members' Group Hack, Maryland Wood, Nr Trellech Common
10 am to 12pm start
Open to all members, family and friends for riding, mountain biking or walking.
The route consists of mainly forestry tracks connected by quiet country lanes. There will be some moderate hills with some fantastic views over the Wye Valley. There will not be any jumps!
There will be two marked routes of approximately 5 or 10 km. They both start and end at the same place, just north of the Maryland Carpark, so you can do both if you want. If you prefer you may walk or cycle. Bring your family and friends for a picnic afterwards, there are plenty of picnic tables.
Access to the NRW Forestry land will be off the B4293 near Trellech onto Warren's Lane.

Details will be sent out nearer the day to those who have booked. If you are tech savvy an App can be downloaded to your phone or Garmin device with a preloaded route giving directions for the rides.
