2023 Training Sessions
Payment
Payment is required at the time of booking or within 14 days of the session. Places will only be reserved on schooling sessions when payment has been received by the Club. Payment can be made by BACS (with TD & Lesson Date in the reference, eg TD 16/10/22) or by PayPal. Contact [email protected] for the details of the bank or PayPal account.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the event can only be refunded if a replacement can be found to take your place or the training is cancelled. More details are given in the club rules.
Flu vaccination advice
Most venues we use currently require that annual boosters are given following the initial course of vaccinations. We will let members know of any exceptions to this.
Non members
Some training sessions are open to non-members and, where this is the case, a non-members training booking form must be completed. All riders attending training sessions and clinics must be 18 years old or over.

Flatwork sessions are £20 per hour, Poles/jump £25
Payment is in advance preferably by BACS.
These sessions will be in the indoor school (outdoor for the Arena Eventing) at Usk or at Latimer Farm, Earlswood.
We can offer flatwork, or poles, poles to jump, or jumping. Poles to jump would be part poles and working up to some small jumps. Please say what you would like to do when booking and we'll fit you in as well as we can.
We are continuing to use Ellen Glover for flatwork/dressage. Ellen is based at Etloe, near Blakeney, and has worked for Carl Hester for several years and is now a freelance coach. She is very enthusiastic and encouraging and has already given lessons to some of our members.
We are trying out a new coach for polework and jumping, Toby Pickthall, who has been recommended by some of our members. He is an eventing coach but works with horses and riders in all three disciplines from Novice to Advanced.
He says: My priority is always with the most correct training to benefit both horse and rider. I have been a professional in the equine industry for over 30 years. And aim to educate riders as to what they are doing, how it affects the horse and how to improve.
Lessons are for one hour in groups of 4 unless otherwise stated and payment should preferably be made 14 days in advance as detailed above. A waiting list will be held if sessions are full but, if there is a high demand, extra sessions can be added,
Non-members are very welcome to all sessions, at a cost of £5 per hour on top of the member's price. After booking a session with Janet, they will need to complete the online Non-members training booking form. Details about payment are at the top of this page.
We will keep you informed of what else we can organise as we find out more. If you are interested in any other particular training please contact Janet and she will do her best to accommodate it.
