About the event

This will be a very topical talk given by Emma Jones, who is a partner in the Abbey Equine Veterinary practice. Emma says "Equine sport has had some seriously bad press recently, this talk aims to explore the science behind welfare issues in equine sport. An equine orthopaedic vet discusses why our horses get injured and what we can do to prevent it".


Given the current discussions on welfare in all of the sporting bodies at the moment, and decisions being made on whether equine sport will be in the next Olympics, this is very relevant to all of us.
